The Sprinter and RAM Diesel Chassis Cab are excluded from this coverage, but will have the 3-year/36,000 miles Basic Limited Warranty, regardless of ownership. Cummins Diesel Engines will continue to have a 5-year/100,000 miles warranty regardless of ownership.
The warranty change is effective with all 2010 model-year cars and trucks. Vehicles sold prior to the 2010 model year won't be affected by the warranty coverage change. The new 5/100 plan has no deductible. It is accompanied by the usual basic 3/36 warranty, 5/100 corrosion coverage, and extended Federal emissions warranty.
The Chrysler Limited Powertrain Warranty is available at all Lithia Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge stores.

The lifetime warranty was not transferable and towing was not available. In order to maintain the lifetime coverage, dealers must perform a powertrain inspection every five years. The new 5-Year / 100,000-Mile powertrain warranty balance transfers with the vehicle, includes towing and no powertrain inspections are required to continue coverage.
Our competitors that offer a longer-term powertrain warranty - Hyundai, Kia and Mitsubishi - do not offer a transferable warranty. Ford offers a 5-year/60,000 mile transferable powertrain warranty.
